i just gota pop a qustion here.............whats the big deal about a blown head gasket?
i mean ive done around 30 3.1 GM head gaskets and about the same for hondas, why is everyone so flacky with the supra? i mean its an inline 6, with two cams.........it cant be that hard to do...........im going to look up the labor for fun. |
The problem is that most people don't want to run normal boost settings (MORE POWER WOOHOO), so they have to get the block smooth, torque the bolts/studs down tighter (toyota's factor spec was too low!), and use a metal head gasket to hold the pressure. Being an aluminum head, and very long, it tends to warp, so it has to be machined, plus getting a block machined isn't easy either. <_<
