What is the Ultimate Economical 7GTE-M Upgrade???
 
I have an 89 MKiii still running the Stock blender, the CT-26. I have a Header (Not sure what kind) that has a T4 Flange and a Wicked a$$ed looking blow off valve or Wastegate / overboost???? doo-hicky... What the hell is that appendage?. Is that a Wastegate for Turbos that don't Have a Wastegate???

I would like to know what would be a good Turbo to upgrade to. Like something not really expensive. I would like to stay below 2 grand for everthing. I know the list can be endless. Here is the list of things I want to know if I will need.

Turbo (Greddy, HKS, Turbonetics????? Whats the next step up from stock and who makes good RELIABLE turbos for an upgrade to fit this type of manifold??) Like what kind of compressor wheel to use...What works so as to not Hit "Fuel Cut" with stock injectors, Then what works with Upgraded Injectors... Is this considered a nice upgrade or is this turbo too small...

Injectors....What will I need for an upgraded turbo from 440??? and what cars are interchangeable that I can pull these from?

Intercooler Upgrade and Plumbing??

Fuel Pump upgrade?? Will I need this as well?

Lexus AFM???? Will that help? or is that a waste of time?

Downpipe and Cat back I am not worried about.

Not new to mechanics but sort of new to all the DETAILS of upgrading a Turbo car with all the right ingredients that have been PROVEN to work. You guys on this board have "Been there, Done that". I would like to know this so I can start my grind up on saving the Loot to do what needs to be done. Will this require CPU modification and Fuel Remapping and all that?

Anyone have a list of things they have done on a budget? OH....and most important, List the Parts/People? and Devices to AVOID!!!
