Default dose the oil pump knock?

i had knocking on my bottom end so i whent in to replace the rod berings and found that they wrnt in bad shape, so i checked my mains. They mains looked almost brand new. I read in a supra add that they guys engine was knocking due to a faulty oil pump and dam it sucks if it is. How do i know if my oil pump is out and its knocking. Im gana try to check tomarrow if any tips it would help
