Here's a pic of the turbo side.
http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/7614/photo007g.jpg If you have to replace any, go with ones from Toyota. Some of the AM others which are available tend to be undersized. You won't be able to get them to seat properly, and they WILL leak. |
Nice one mirage83, I know there’s one at the back, the cygnus1 also shows one at the front, buy I can’t remember see that one.

k thxs for the help

You have one that's leaking Killer? If so, when you get ready to install the new one find something only slightly smaller than the ID of the new plug to hit to seat it. A single hit is best, as multiple hits tend to stretch the metal somewhat making a good seal difficult to get and you end up with another leaking plug. Some guys have fashioned custom tools to do the job, others use wooden plugs to seat the metal one.

thank goodness for this post. i just got an 86 today and turns out it has a leak. how bad is it to fix? its a pretty tight spot....

It's a relatively easy fix, you've just got to get the proper plug from Toyota (I don't recommend an aftermarked plug) and have enough room to swing the hammer to seat the plug. If the engine is in the car you may end up having to pull some hardware off to get the space you need.
