New to this forum, have been watching for a while, finally bought an 86.5 with 100 kms, 5sp non turbo. Car is mint, the big HG was done around 60 km. My 2 questions, temp gauge sits about 8 oclock, a bit below half, would this be considered normal or is indicative of a 180 stat. If a 195 stat was used would it sit half way at 9 oclock? Knowing only that HG was done many years ago at the Toyota dealer, is it recommended at all to re-torque the head bolts or leave them alone? Thanks for all the previous good info
