Well... I'll tell you why I'm asking. I want to use both so I don't have to sacrifice frontal lighting for being able to see the ditch better when I'm on the highway. The Foglights seem to do a better job of that than the brights do.

When you say foglight mod, are you referring to removing the yellow glass capsule? (Which I've done) I've been using these for some years now Philips Rally H3 100W and these for the main headlamps Philips Rally H4 90/100W Slight improvement with the fogs, but I assume it would be better with clear glass instead of the stock ribbed. Massive improvement with the headlamps though.

No, actually the mod makes the foglights operate without having the headlights on. The link is here if you don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.supras.com/06/techcenter/display.php?QID=41 This mod does not specify whether the foglights can be used with the brights or not. I would try it, but I really don't care about having my foglights working without my headlights and want to save myself a few hours.
