Just curious about radiators and what any of you have found that works best for the overheating deal. Everything else is good, now the radiator is what I want to upgrade. So let the opinions begin!!!

I run a stock radiator with the stock cooling fan. That set seems to work great for me and I live in Arizona. We have 115 degree summers and my car has never over heated. If you are looking at getting a racing radiator go with a Koyo all the others suck.

yep!, koyo is th way to go,i run a 1jz-gte tt with greddy intercooler also.get one from drift factory warehouse's store on ebay for 364.00 dollars instead if the full retail from koyo that is 520.00.it is the same rad.this should fit an n/a also if needed.you can use all of the old stock hardware too.koyo, koyo, koyo!full aluminum construction 2-3 times more thickness than tissue paper stock one.

I run a Koyo w/ dual 12" Flex-a-lite fans...I live in New Mexico and a couple summers ago I had taken it to a local shop to have a compression check done to check for a blown head gasket. They chewed up the neck and it wouldn't hold pressure, I didn't find out until like 2 weeks later even through daily driving in 100 plus degree weather the car never overheated...You really can't argue with that kind of performance.

The 86.5 to 92 Supras use the same radiator, turbo or N/A. Mine still has the stock rad as you should already know ddmcse from all the other posts you and I have been making about my overheating problem...lol. So I just though I would ask around and see what else is being used out there. Mine is a May of 1986 model 7mge engine.

Thanks
Russ

In reply to your quote, I have a turbo 7MGTE and am running 12psi making really close to 300whp. And again I use a stock radiator and stock cooling system. I do however use a Power Enterprise radiator cap and Red Line water wetter for extra cooling and a lower boiling point. My car never sees more than 210 degrees on my after market water temp gauge. It will normally stay at 190 degrees when I am not driving the car hard. I hope this is enough info for you.

Did you buy it with the BHG or did it just go on you? Just curious about the temps you were running and about whether yours is a turbo or not. Mine is not. What kind of radiator are you planning on buying? I ordered a radiator yesterday and it should be here today so I can install it over the weekend. It isn't made for any particular car so I have to make the brackets, but it is just the same size as the one you want to buy.

mine is a turbo model and im getting a radiator made by northern radiators. its designed to cool of small block chevys. its actually major overkill of a radiator, i just know i'll never have a problem with it overheating. i get really good pricing too, due to my father owning a performance parts house....yeah i can be spoiled sometimes
