Sm Vac Hose Under Accordian Hose
Hello all.....
A few questions: 1) Where does the small vac hose under the accordian hose connect? I changed the acordian hose, but I can't see where this small vac hose connects. I looks like it goes somewhere behind the power steering reservoir? What function does it serve? 2) The trim that surrounds the window on the rear hatch is coated with a black coating or layer, or what ever you want to call it. Mine has been subjected to the sun and is peeling and fading. Any ideas to repair this? |

Small vacuum line on the bottom of the accordian hose goes to one of the two vacuum tubes on the switch on top of your PS unit (the pump, not the reservoir). Doesn't even matter which. IIRC it adjusts the idle up when you turn the wheel while at idle/dead-slow speed.
As for your trim you can strip and paint/powder coat it, or replace it. It's still available through Toyota. |

Thx...Your no Mirage...Your for Real
One more question...
The bracket that holds the MAF assy and bolts to the top of the wheel well has a small vacuum tube welded to it. Where do the rubber lines that attach to each end go??? |

The end nearest the AFM connects via vacuum line to the bottom tube off of the BVSV on your Tstat housing. The other end connects to the front tube on top of your charcoal cannister.
