Default 89 Supra with replaced engine

I am new to the forum, so hi everyone.

I hail from Denver I am looking to make a mkIII supra my first "sportier" car. Any advice for buying a supra would be greatly appreciated. Full time student, so not much in terms of finances.

I'm currently looking at a '89 supra targa N/A manual, that was said to have its engine replaced at ~150K miles with a same stock one, that is now running at ~55K. What would be the reason that it was removed at 150K? any thoughts? The body and interior are in good if not excellent condition, from the pics at least.
