Default Manual W58 to Manual R154

Well, i have my MkIII supra and i plan on doing the 2jzgte swap and take out that piece of crap 7MGE. The engine that I plan on getting is said to have a 5speed already attached to it. It could be the SC300 W58 or a R154. Currently I have the 5spd W58 transmission with a one piece aluminum driveshaft hooked up to my 7MGE. After looking up forum after forum, there is always the postings of automatic to manual conversion but in my case, I have a far more interesting question. My question is, can the one piece drive shaft off of the Manual W58 transmission be used on the manual R154 transmission without modification?

No it will not fit, unless you modify it. I think the w58 driveshaft is shorter then the r154 diveshaft, or the other way around.

What other things would I need to do this swap besides the drive shaft? clutch, slave cylinder, etc?

You need a flywheel for a manual and of course a clutch plus the line that runs from clutch to slave cylinder I bought mine from driftmotion for 65 bucks its SS braided and looks killer. Plus u need the brake and clutch pedal.

As for GTWicked1 just sell ur current driveshaft and buy one for the r 154 all 1jzgte and 2jzgte come with r 154 but the 1jz r154 out of a soarer won't work on a supra due to the extended shifted BTW so be sure to get one from a supra

ok i guess I should have said what i was doing first lol. But my w58 locked up on me and I cant get the shifter to go into any gear. I have a w154 and Im going to put it in this weekend and I was curious what other things from my 2nd supra donor car I needed. Do you know if the hard line from the master clutch cylinder to where the replacable one goes is the same?

Heres a link of a list of what you need to use the R154 since you're swapping out your w58.
