Yea i know not to get just a fuel defender cuz i dont want to detonate....
But yea what does that screw do in the lexus afm??? |
it adjusts the un-metered air thats allowed in by the lexus afm.
without the screw you have alot of un measured air |
cool where did u get ur afm from? and where are u getting the bolt made at
|
the afm :
i got mine a long while back from a online junl dealer for about 75$ it's been sitting for years . i've wanted to get other things in place first the screw is being made for me by some guy at work . it's taking months but he knows i don't have the injectors yet . you might be able to buy one from the guy in canada but it's like 100$ |
Though it won't really matter as it's calibrated for that opening to be there. I'd pop it on a dyno and make sure it's not going lean, if it's not, I'd leave it alone...
|
calibrated for what? a lexus v8?
|
an AFM can work even if it's only metering a percentage of the overall air that passes through it if it's calibrated for such a thing, if that hole is supposed to be there on the V8, more than likely it is added into the 25% increase in airflow.
Personally, I'm thinking that that screw is just some guy's way of making money <_< |
if you havent ever installed one my advice is
"get screwed" |
alright well im not thinking about doing this for a little while maybe buy a part a month or something next summer is when i wanna do all that stuff
