i am in south texas, ac is a must, there are other things you can take out that add alot of weight that dont affect comfort.

At most i think the unit would weigh 125lbs.... so really dont lighten it too much

I heard somewhere that ever 100lbs is a tenth at the drag strip, but I'll take that tenth to not sweat my %#^% off....

at most 35 to 40 pounds really what parts do you have?a/c compressor,a/c heat exchanger,and lines,125 lbs for an a/c is a bit large don't you think,the damn thing woud take up half the engine bay alone.yes you can remove the system from the vehicle without adverse affects.wanna stay cool in your supra,100mph ought to solve the problem,just roll the widows down.

i ripped mine out and it doesn't get as hot here last time i weighed mine... full trim.. 3800lbs
