LOL.... To be honest, I don't remember... I don't believe it matters, but I can't say for sure. Sorry I can't help with that, maybe someone else can chime in here who'll know for sure.

ok problem solved!!
i read the tsrm wrong hahahahaa my bad. it says align DRILL mark.. not rivet.. theres a rivet that goes all the way through.. so it looks like 2 dots.. but in the middle.. theres ONE hole thats drilled out. i think they mean to align that. but.. one more thing.. do they compensate for the fact that it rotates once when you put it in because of the gears? |

I don't think so. I think I knocked it out of adjustment by about 1 tooth when I installed mine last. But that's what would be adjusted anyway during the ignition timing check with the timing light.

I'd say you're fine setting it per the TSRM and sliding it in like that. Just be careful not to move it alot when you're installing it. BTW, have you checked your vacuum lines to make sure they're all routed properly?

alright i found my screw drive.. and i opened it up. when the drill hole is aligned.. that mark in the pic i posted doesnt line up. so i think the tsrm does compensate for the moving gear
