Do I need the arp bolts?

Doing my headgasket and im just wondering I have a stock 7MGE and im not planning on putting alot of mods on the engine so stock do I need the cool headbolts or will oem do me?
If I can get by with oem bolts what should I tourqe these to? I ve seen 56, 70, even some saying 90?. Ive done the reasearch and understand that 56 is to low and thats why these awsome cars have had bhgs but anything over 70 sounds too high. Keep in mine Im stock and plan to stay mostly that way until I can save up for a 7MGTE.

On OEM bolts you want to do 72 ft/lbs as the original spec of 52 or whatever ft/lbs is simply way too low. After about 5 heat-cycles, loosen them slightly, one at a time in the proper sequence, and re-torque them to 72. ARP's are great hardware, if you go that route torque them to the instruction specs for the lube you use when you install them.

Thanks, I went to Toyota and they looked in their books and give me 58 ft/lbs and then the tech started dribbling off about the head gasket torque not being to low and they had never heard of the 7m motors blowing head gaskets regularly. Blah Blah Blah I hate when people who don't know what they are talking about start talking. If they were not familiar with a problem or car just say that, but then I might doubt there mechanichood. Sorry but the dealership techs sometimes make me angry.

No worries, understood. And their manuals they have on hand may well still say 58 ft/lbs, but that's a bad number. Him claiming that he's never heard of a BHG problem on the 7M just means he's either a liar, a moron, or a brand-new tech who's never worked on a 7M before and knows absolutely nothing about them.

How do I mark my cams and sprokets so that it goes back in time when I put it together. Doing BHG and timing belt

There are little marks on them that should be lined up facing up. Mark P and D on them for passenger side and driver side if you want to.
