Misfire
I have a 1987 5-speed turbo. And bought this car with the misfire thinking I could fix it, but I was wrong. I have changed all of the spark plugs and cleaned up the throttle body. But there's no change. I tried spraying water on the wires to expose any cracks, no luck! I sprayed brake cleaner over every gasket and hose, no luck! I dont have a check engine light on but I do have some codes 24 (intake air temp), 31 (air flow meter). Any thoughts? Any help will be appreciated. thanks

Both of those could be causeing a misfire. The air flow meter is a plate that as the air in your intake pushes on it the voltage goes up telling the computer how much air flow is coming in to give you that 14.7:1 air fuel mix you want and the computer figures out how dense the air is by what temp the air is coming in. Do you have a multimeter?

Ill have to check alldata which could be a couple weeks you could ask a toyota dealership what your readings should be key on engine off and key on engine on. they should be able to tell you what electricty and how much. If you cant find out from them Ill try to find it. Ill see if my chiltons has it but I highly doubt it.
