I would guess your car has a builtin rev limiter to keep you from blowing your engine.
I own an "87 MKIII n/a. I have driven fast and have the tickets to prove it. As a teenager I lived a relatively small town I did some some street drag racing. But, for your safety and the safety of others I suggest that you do not race on the street unless you want to go to jail after killing some one. In Florida it is against the law to spin your tires on the road. A mandatory appearance before the judge. I do not know what the penalty would be. Good luck and be safe, Dan Swanson Quote:

Speed cut, I have a mines ecu so I don't have that problem. I'd look into an aftermarket ecu or a speed cut defencer. I thought I read somewhere that you could cut a wire and eliminate it as well but I don't know for sure.
