Exhaust Advice
87 Supra Turbo
Stock turbo Upgraded to Apexi air intake Upgraded to 3in partially divorved downpipe Looking to upgrade to a new cat back exhaust. Any advice. I do not want to break the bank. I am looking around this price range: Pacesetter Monza Performance Exhaust Systems for the Supra MK3 http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...xhaust_Systems (But that one is not a 3 in?) Any estimates on how much HP is to be gained? Any other mods you would do instead? |

I wouldnt say there would be a major gain maybe 20 hp nothing you would feel anyway but it would sound nice and run a bit smoother. I CA though there anal about exaust mods its hard to get anyway with anything I got a 2.5 on mine and I get tickets a lot...

Based on performance, will there be a big difference bwteen the 2.5in Pacesetter Monza and a 3in Apexi or similar?

I would suggest an HKS exhaust, but that will run you about 700 bucks.

Tanabe touring medallion. $700, 3" stainless steel, super quiet and looks good. If you're not getting the same diameter as the downpipe you might as well forget it and save your money. Pace Setter sucks.

Thanks for the advice. I guess it would defeat the purpose a bit of the 3 in partially divorced downpipe if I purchased a 2.5 in exhaust.
