Is it the tail light warning or the 'BRAKE' light? I had problems with my tail light warning because of a bad ground back there. But, if the 'BRAKE' light is on, then there is a problem with the hand brake sensor or the brake fluid level sensor. Both of these will turn that light on.

well im not to sure...it is a top view of a car with a few lines around the back of the car pic...
my friend said it was the 'brake' light...but i think i agree with you on it being the 'taillight' light...cause i thought it looked strange for a brake warning light

...so if it is the taillights that hav a bad ground...wont that actually effect the lights themselves???...and did you run a new earth wire 2 fix the problem?
...but if it is the handbrake sensor...is it hard 2 replace/fix???

That's the taillight warning light. All of the bulbs except the highmount brake light (or "third" brake light) are dual element bulbs. The warning light on the dash tells you if the brake elements do not offer the proper electrical resistance. If you have a bad ground, then it's possible that one or more of your brake lights are not illuminating, or not bright enough (can happen with a bad ground as well). These car's are notorious for bad grounds at the tail lights, so I'd go clean them up and inspect all of the bulbs.

Keep in mind there are 5 brake lights on these cars.
