Hi everybody, Iam new to this site, but have had supras for the past 7 years. my current problem is on my 88 7mgte. The motor was built 3 years ago but the people that installed it broke 6 bolts on exhuast side of head. So for the cars first 12,000 miles the turbo was not operating correct. Now that problem has been fixed the car will only boost 4psi? I have done all sensor checks everything is ok, time set(10btdc). Iam getting a code 11 from diag/ ECU power sorce? any help would be great!!!!!! thanks

if everything on the turbo side is hooked up correctly and works correctly then maybe the map sensor is failing,or the gauge is not opperating correctly.i hope i still have the book with trouble codes, hang out and lemme check.

every thing is hooked up, iam running a maf sensor off my other 91 supra turbo. You said my map sensor? I did not think they (supras) had map sensors? The turbo is the stock turbo with a diffrent comp/wheel, It sounds like it is moving way more air then stock. The guage may be wrong but I know it is not pulling as hard as it used to. It also seems like above 5500rpm boost psi stays at 4psi but does not pull hard like early in rpm range?

Are you still running the stock down pipe and cat. If yoy are then your cats might be clogged. Before I changed out my down pipe and cat with an after market test pipe and down pipe my car would not boost past 6 psi. After the parts were replaced my car peaks at 8psi ( 1 psi over stock). Start there if you have already replaced the cats then do a boost leak check, you might have a leaky I/C pipe/

thanks for the help everybody, I pulled the ecu and tryed to do the check, first my connectors are diffrent then the picture, but the picture is the same as my 91 ecu. The check works on the 91 but like I said my 88 connectors are in a diffrent place in to the ecu. I looked at cygnus but they dont show any that 88 and 91 are not the same? They are diffrent which is why I cant just swap them.I am going to see if toyota can check for me, we'll see!

your ecu should be there

have you taken off the intake pipe to the turbo.. how does she look, any fins missing?
any play, in and out and side to side?

does it hold 4 psi or is it erratic

i had one on my brand new 46trim ct26 and it was cracked
consequently i screwed my new turbo in 2 days coz the pipe let go and part of it went thru my turbo

glad you got it sorted tho
