1987 Twin Turbo
So I have an 87 Twin Turbo RHD
Everything mechanical is stock on my car It says Twin Turbo on my engine and on the back of the car The thing is, I can't find another 1987 Twin Turbo Does anyone else have an 87 Twin Turbo or know anyone with one? I'm thinking my car might be way more rare than I originally thought but I'm not gonna believe that until I hear replies from other Supra owners (I can't find specs for an 87 TT anywhere!) |

i noticed that its right hand drive, which prolly means it was imported privately from Japan. In Japan they get to make many different versions of supras and gtr's ect. The motor doesnt look like a motor swap. But could you find a name for it? 1jz? 2jz? im not sure if they made a 7m tt..tho i kno you can get a kit for it. Very intersting car. cool too. Be an awesome project.

It probably has the 1ggte 2.0 twin turbo engine. that would be my guess as it doesnt look like a 7m or 1jz.

i will take more pics and post them different angles of the engine bay, the back of the car this car confuses the shit out of me. lol P.S. the only thing the previous owner said about the car was that it has a J-spec TT engine. Last edited by 87TT; 09-09-2009 at 09:54 AM. |

Thats weird man. It doesn't look like any engine I've ever seen in a Supra. You might be able to run the VIN number to find out what the engine code is.

How can it be correct if its 3.0L? im guessing its either a speacil edition made only in japan that got imported privatly, or someone put the HKS twin turbo kit on it with decals...at least i think its HKS that makes the kit..kno someone dose..
well actaully it is the 1ggte. was the last of the g serise motors. you have got quite a rare car my man. Tho the stock hp out put isnt as much as the 7mgte. It dose have 2 CT-12 turbos. Fix it up man and let her rip!!

It's not a 3.0L it's a 2.0L.
