Spun Rod bearing

Hey guys. I am new here so be kind to me! haha

I got a 89 MKIII Turbo for 1800 with many nice bolt ons. The issue it has is it has a spun main rod bearing. I asked him a dozen times and he said he is certain that that is the issue and it was clarified by a few of his supra friends from OhioSupras.org.

My question is if it is a spun bearing, what else can I expect to be bad in there? I do plan on doing some work on the bottom end but I want to make sure I know what to look for while I am in there. I have a mechanic who I've known for years who is going to to do the labor for me for really cheap, so it comes down to the cost of parts. What are the necessities to make the bottom end strong and very reliable for around 500HP. and if its a spun rod bearing, what else would be wrong with it due to that?
