Please help.... car completely dead
I just ran to get some food and sitting in the drive through my headlights started to dim. Rev it and they get brighter. Went on my way making sure not to let it idle. Hit the turn signal and it sputtered for a split second and died. Completely dead. No voltage anywhere at all. Even the battery is completely dead. Nothing in it at all. Tried to get a jumpstart and the other car for sure had a load but not a thing happened with the supra. No lights no anything at all. moved all wires around. Jiggled the key around in the ignition. Any ideas?? 90 turbo was a auto now a 5 speed. Swap has been good for years but want to give as much info as possible.

Oh. Earlier today the stock boost gauge quit working??? Just stuck right at zero. Dont know if its related or not. I have had the car a week and put about 160 miles on it so far so idk the history. I am going back to the car tomorow to try my optima and see what that does..

I have 12.93 volts in the battery. Its a 7 month old yellow top. The battery has great grounds but power isnt going anywhere at all. There is a silver thing in the under hood fuse box marked MAIN but my toyota dealer said it was my turn signal flasher and couldnt find anything else in the parts catalog with 4 prongs.

Sounds to me like your alternator gave out. If it didn't short your battery just recharge it have a load test done just to make sure, but I'd say that alternator is done, with the supplied info ya gave anyways.

Found the problem. The smaller power wire coming from the battery had broken inside the cable. In the wiring diagrams shouldnt it be a fuseable link there?? Its a 8? gauge wire soldered to another white 8 gauge wire that goes into a wiring loom. I would like to replace this with a fuse as toyota intended but dont know what size fuse I would need??
