Thats up to you bud, I wouldn't get an auto but thats just me. If the engine is running strong and no issues, thats not too bad of a price. I'm sure other people will chime in with some good opinions.

I just got an 87. I wanted manual, but it's still got a 7MGE, so I figured wth... there's always room for the manual swap when I go to a 1jz... so you could always switch up when you add the power... IMO, I notice I run about 3500 rpms when doing 80 on the highway.. seems a bit high to me, and on a 3.0L engine, I can only imagine the fuel I might save if I had an extra gear... However, it's my understanding the 5 speeds aren't geared all too differently, they're better no doubt, but I've also heard they need an extra gear as well..

Wow I actually looked at this car a couple months ago when I was buying mine. I live pretty close to St Joe. For the money you might check ST. Louis Craigslist cause there was one on there that was a turbo 5speed targa that was cheaper I think cause it had a little body damage, but ran strong with new head gasket. As for this car it seemed allright but I noticed alot of small things plus the steering felt weird. Probley be a good start though.

Default To Buy or Not To Buy?

Snag it now. 90's & up are rare! Auto or 5-Spd
