i can spin my gearstik in circles.....looks like its in neutral wen its in gear
took the stick out changed the bush but not much different.any suggestions?....

Can spin it in circles? The stick comes back towards the driver, so does it rotate like the knob is loose, or like it's not in? If it's that bad i dunno WTF happened as it's metal pins that go into slots in the shifter. More than likely you're talking about it being loose and wobbly, get a new shifter seat and cup. Both need to be replaced to get it firmer.

I HIGHLY recommend one from www.marlincrawler.com I had them in my truck, and pulled them out and made them fit my car, shorter throw, very tight, great to bang gears with. They aren't rubber like stock units, and thus don't feel mushy. Much cheaper than getting a short throw shifter for over $500...
