no start problem
i just port and polished a head and put some BC springs and retainers in and when i put it on and got it all back together it wont start. it sounds like its out of time. i double checked the timing belt and its on correct. i installed a MAFT pro a few months ago. The plug wires are correct if anyone has any ideas id appreciate to hear them. Also what color is the number one injector clip brown or white?

all my injector plugs are white on my 87 non turbo. It seems like a timing problem for sure, i just went through the same thing on mine today after putting new JDM in it. if your certain the timing belt is on correctly, then the next step would be the ignition timing. Check and double check that. The distributor needs to be in the right spot for things to run smoothly. I had mine running and idling today, then went and turned the distributor a lil more in an attempt to change it even more and it wouldnt start at all would start shooting fire out the exhaust manifold even :p so make sure you set your engine to TDC and re-align the gear on the dist and do exactly how it says in the book and see if that will start her up. Good luck, hope this helps you some.

Plug the injectors in according to the color of the actual wires, not the color of the plugs... it's just a safer bet.
The plug colors (if they're not all one color) usually alternate: White - Brown - White - Brown...... Just double check the wire colors to be sure. On pre89 GE's the wires running to #'s 1 and 4 are yellow and white with a blue stripe 2 and 6 are black and white with a red stripe 3 and 5 are red and solid white |
Thanks guys i got it, I forgot to put the engine to TDC compression when i put the Cam Position Sensor in. it fired right up
