Factory Keyless Entry
Hey everyone. From what I understand, some 91 and 92 models came with factory keyless entry. How can I tell if mine does? I've looked under the drivers seat and behind the glove box for a box or receiver but didn't see anything. Do I need to pull the whole dash to get access to it? I looked through the TSRM online, including the EWD, but couldn't find anything referencing keyless entry. Am I better off just calling a dealership to have them look up my VIN?

Your VIN won't get you anywhere. It was a Toyota branded add-on which was only available from the dealer. It was not "factory equipment". It was simply a receiver which plugged into the security system.
EDIT: What I mean is that no MKIII came from Toyota with this installed. It was a plug in module which the dealer added for those requesting it. |
