registration number, what year?
 
Hi folks,
I have just joined the Forum. I am looking for some information about a toyota supra turbo transmission that I have. I plan to use it in another car (mid-sixties Austin Healey 3000).

I cannot find a number on the box other than one number stamped on the very bottom of the casing. The number is: #70801208.

Does that mean anything to anyone?
I am trying to determine year of the car.

Are you sure this transmission is from a MKIV ('93.5 - '02) Supra TT?

No, In fact after doing some more reading on the Forum tonight I think it is a MK III. Sorry!

You posted in the right section, there was just a spot of confusion it seems.


If you could post some pictures I may be able to help, but the casting number is of little use to myself nor (I suspect) the friend I have who works for Toyota. I'll talk to my friend and see if there is anything characteristic to any specific year of the R154; I don't know of anything.

Yeah, I know where you mod.... actually, I noticed last night there are two copies of this thread too... did he post in both forums? Doesn't matter, it found its proper place. Have you the ability to remove the duplicate post?

Yep - I thought she was still one of the Supermods on T-S.I ... although I haven't heard from her in awhile either.
