oops i broke the headlight help
ok so... where to begin... so i was sitting out side smoking and went and sat on my car and i heard a snapping noise right when i sat down on it. i broke this thing on the headlight that fucked everything up. its a little clip thing on the back of the headlight that pivots. it snapped. so now when i go to put up the headlights the left one goes up and the right one doesnt it gets jammed against the front lip thingy and when i hit the corner next to the clip that broke it pops up and sits at a weird angle. i was wondering a good way to fix this because its bugging the shit outta me. everytime i wanna put my headlights up i have to get out and hit it hard. so i wanna know how to remove the headlight from the pivot points that are attached to a support of somekind

Wow, I just looked in the tsrm & it's pretty useless as far as how to replace/fix the headlamp assembly goes! Here's the single page they devoted to the headlights anyway... http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...Section=BO&P=4
From the sound of things you broke the hinge (visible in fourth pic.) and most likely need to replace the assembly. If you still have the bit that broke off there's a chance you could fix it with epoxy or similar & it might be worth a shot if you can't find a lamp assembly for the right money. I guess if you're really hard-up (or as stingy as me!) you could even make a replacement hinge out of fibreglass if need be...

Yeah, and unfortunately the Toyota collision repair manual for the MKIII doesn't cover this subject. Still, pics would help.... I suspect supraluver4life is going to need to replace the assembly.

I just happen to have the ones out of a '87 parts car, left and right side complete assemblies. Send me a private message if interested.
