When I first got my MK3, it was ok. But after owning it for 2 weeks, I swear she gets up and handles better. I swear ta god I feel a difference. The car had sat for a while and was driven sparringly. Is it possible that I'm breakin her in, or am I just nuts?

i think ur nuts...jk it might be that your getting use to its handling characteristics-in turn cornering better.

Defintely....What he said...your nuts...but technically its a breakin of types for you because you are still getting used to the shift in weight, cornering, etc.....i've only had mine for 1.5 months and i'm a good driver, but their are still things i could be better at(drifting, track racing, etc...)

If it sits for a while it might have buildup in the fuel lines and int eh combustion chambers. I know mine was sitting for a long time (a couple YEARS) before the guys I bought it from got her running right. I drove it for a while, and it's stronger, shows more oil pressure, ect.

Also, you get to learn where the turbo kicks in, and in which gear, making you a lot faster in the long run...

I dosen't have turbo---yet. But someone told me that the ECU on that thing will actually learn the driver's style and adapt accordingly. How cool is that?

Not really adapting to you, but the weather where you live. But the computer relearns every 15 minutes or so, so I doubt that...

Either that, or you're running low on oil (most cars are quite a bit faster when they are low on oil, but it's like a candle burning at both ends...)
