in my opinion "I" would still replace the door, if you know that lots of wires are ripped up or broken, your prob. gona still ripp out that huge xmas tree of wires from the door just to get the slack u need to actually repair the broken wires. if i remember correctly there is alot of work into feeding the wires through to where they go and it has to be exactly where they are supposed go because there is no slack in those wires...
the hardest part is connecting them while a friend holds the door for 20 minutes...
what im trying to ask is, is it able to have a side mirror ripped out then a new one put in?
would the piece that holds the window glass in place get all bent and fucked up??
and did your glass shatter??
it would almost be easier to replace the door with one that has good glass and side mirror already, than replace the glass and not loose the plastic washer in the door... or some how (just a possiblitly) not be able to get the repairs taken care of correctly... and forrever have an ugl side mirror and fucked window...

just sayin
i got my fully equiped door for 75 dollers, guy let me cut all the wires so i could see them coming out of the door right infront of my supra

There's a harness junction right inside the mirror mount, if the wiring is torn further down then cut and patch in a good segment from a parts car or, worst case scenario, replace the door harness altogether.

If there is a problem with the mirror mount/window guide, replace it... there are only 3 bolts.

A door would be far more costly then what I currently have to repair, I already looked into it.
And besides I go to school to fix cars, might as well fix my own the long hard cheap way right? ;p
