Ok if you didnt see my "noobie post" I have a 90 supra turbo w/ 5 speed tranny...
**1st question** I almost have to let my clutch out all the way till it engauges 1st gear. Is this normal? The reason why I ask this is because my other 5 speed car (98 neon) I had to barely let the clutch out and it would start moving. **2nd question** Since I have a turbo do I need to let my Supra idle for xx amount of seconds before shutting the supra off? Ive seen someone with a SRT-4 do this with his. If so, how long should I let it idle?

I found out the answer to my turbo question....
Taken from: Here Precautions for turning off a turbo engine (7M-GTE engine). After high-speed or extended driving etc., requiring a heavy engine load, the engine shoul dbe allowed to idle as shown in the chart, before turning it off. Driving condition and required idling time. Normal city driving. Idling time -- Not necessary High-speed driving. About 80 km/h (50 mph) Idling time -- About 20 seconds About 100 km/h (63 mph) Idling time -- About 1 minute Above 100 km/h (63 mph) Idling time -- About 2 minutes Steep mountain slopesdriving. Idling time -- About 2 minutes NOTICE: Never turn the engine off immediately afer a heavy load. This may cause severe engine damage.

Yeah, but be careful, I just had my clutch replaced and they did an awful job, it's slipping all over the place and I'm babying my car
Back to the shop it goes... Check your pedal adjustment first though, it might be that... |
