T61
So you have a fully built motor? you should be able to make 650 Hp at round 18 psi Or if you have a stock engine you may want a bag to pick up the bits off the road LOL good luck

60-1 making 650 at 18psi? they will probably be good for 400-low 500 range.

That's the case with upgraded CT-26's. The poster is most likely referring to a turbo that was actually built that size.

Yes I have a fully built motor the top and bottom have been rebuilt better head gasket 550 injectors high pressure fuel pump not shure what size the intercooler is but it is huge if you look just behind the bumper it is from the bottom of the bumper to the top were the hood opens I did not build it I bought it that way a guy that worked for GM and his son built it was just wondering how far I could turn up the turbo.

How high you can push a T-61 is not the same as how high YOU can push a T-61.... How high YOU can go depends entirely on the supporting mods... with 550's you needn't worry about the efficiency limit of that turbo; you won't reach it, at least not safely AFAIK.
The preferred calculation for determining injector size or HP limit with our engines is: target RWHP = cc/min - 25%. So, 550-137.5=412.5... so let's say around 400 to 425RWHP is the *recommended* cap... this isn't a physical law, most injectors can flow more, but it is SAFE.

Turn up the turbo
Do you think a turbo is the same as your music? you can turn it up ? The turbo has a maxium flow at a pressure, most turbos that are not special hi boost types have a max presure of 14 to 16 psi (that is the pressure they will flow the most volume )@ 75 to80% effiency,if you increase the pressure out of this, you decrease the effiency and heat the air more and make no more power. The test is to get the engine to make the most power at the lowest boost not the highest, if you want to be it "Im running more boost than you club" then turn it UP! If you want reliable power turn it down and fix the things that stop good flow. Cams are a good way to start, they dont have to be hot, just a bit more lift and advance the timing a little, you would belive the responce. All supras will have a smog type cam timming, this is a ez upgrade while doing your cam belt and degree the cam in, this what the pros do, the amatuars buy shiny bits off E bay
