88 difficult to start when hot
I have an 88 Supra, non-turbo that is difficult to start when hot. I live about 20 miles from the nearest city. If I drive into town and park it, it has to cool down for a while before it will start again. The length of time it has to cool down depends on the weather - it's worse in the summer. It's also worse if I stop to put in gas. When it does start, it "stumbles" and dies a couple of times and I have to pump the accelerator once it starts to keep it running until it smooths out. Any suggestions?

Start with checking for error codes and testing the AFM and the ECU coolant temp sensor. When did you last check your spark plugs? Check the plugs for signs of fouling and to see if oil is getting in around them and the wires from a leaking valve cover.

Mine does the same thing, but the previous owner got fed up with it, and just installed an override ignition button. So, I can just press the button and it starts lol, but I have to feather the gas until it chills out.
I changed my fuel filter, and it doesn't do it as bad, but now I have to get my valves adjusted, because of bad compression. Keeps fouling plugs, and I do have oil around the plugs and wires. Faggot didn't even tighten down the valve covers, so it's been leaking for a few months. >.<
