Default Need Help Finding Window

Okay so before the winter my car was sitting in the driveway and someone threw a rock through the back window
I talked to a company to replace the glass but they couldn't find it anywhere. They told me to try a Toyota dealership. So I did.
I phoned and they had a window but because my car is a JDM they couldn't be sure if the window would fit
it's $1300 and non-returnable
so does anyone know how I could get the parts number for a hatch window on a 1987 JDM Toyota Supra Twin Turbo?
I really need this. I want to get my car back on the road!

ROFL! $1300!? Well, how about I sell you mine for $1100 and I'll just drive with cardboard for a while?

Seriously, call some local salvage yards. I'll try to remember and see if I can locate anything tomorrow.

hmm there was someone selling a hatch here not to long ago. dig through the old classified listings might still have one.
is there difference between your jdm and other mk3 hatches? I really wouldn't know.

the price doesn't bother me because Autopac is paying for it
I just need to find one
And I need to find out whether or not a JDM Supra would have a different sized window
I don't see why it would but I can only get one window from Autopac so I gotta do it right

Bit of a long shot, enter you vin # into this site ToyoDIY the item description is Back Window Glass. I would have though there would be a difference between a 2.0 narrow body supra and the 2.5 & 3.0 Supras. Also some Supras have a rear window antenna built in, which probably won’t be an issue providing the glass fits.

I looked in our database at work and can't find any interchange info regarding the rear window having any significant changes other then the tint and the antenna, but I'm limited to North American parts. I checked to see if I could locate one for you in one of our warehouses in Canada, but no luck... just too old.

You should check with Jeff Lange over at supramania.com to see if he knows or can find out if the JDM MKIII rear glass was ever different. He works at a Toyota dealership

thank you so much for that
I got to the back window glass page but I'm not sure if I got the right car
there were like 4 options that all had 1ggteu's
now I just need to find the part
I'm not sure which one it would be for the actual window
here's the page I'm on http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_198...JPVZ_6104.html
looks like the Supra forum is to the rescue again
I really appreciate the help guys. the community behind Supras is just great
also it doesn't help for me to enter my VIN because I'm pretty sure it was changed when it was imported
I had some issues with it when I was trying to insure the car because they said the VIN didn't exist :S

okay so I'm pretty sure I found the number for the glass but the thing is that I'm down to 2 possibilities now
there are 4 options for cars with the 1ggteu and 2 of them have one number and the other 2 have another parts number
I need to find out which one of these 4 models I have
here is the page to choose between the 4 http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q_J_198...SUPRA_all.html
the JPN LB's and the JPN AET's are the two differences that separate the cars
does anyone know what the LB and AET would stand for so that I could figure out which one matches my car?
thanks again

okay I'm really close now! lol
I'm kinda figuring it out myself but this is the very last step
I have it narrowed down to 2 selections and I figured out that AET stands for Liftback (Aerotop) and LB stands for liftback
Can anyone tell me which one I have?
I'll attach a few pics
btw please don't hate on the wing
I bought the car with it but I like it
I realize not many Supra fanatics like it but it sets it aside from other mk3's
anyways yes please take a look and tell me if you know if I have an AET or an LB
thanks

okay and the good news is that the parts number matches the American cars!
so I just need that last little bit of information
Liftback (Aerotop) or just Liftback?
