If you go to this site Link and select "1996 Nissan 240sx" it comes up with a part # for KYB shocks W0133-1614069 Rear, where as if you select a 87 Supra the rear shocks are W0133-1622216 Probably doesn’t help much, but it indicates they are different.

i have been told that they are about the same size and if one could make the springs from the supra fit on the 240 kyb's then they would bolt right up. if anyone has heard of this and/or done it then any help would be appreciated.
thank you again. thank you bill

I’m at work at the moment, but I have a full set of KYB shocks in the garage at home. I’ll measure them up for you later.

All dimensions are in inches; the shock on the left is a stock Toyota one, the one on the right is a KYB for a 1990 3.0 Turbo, which I think is typical for all the MKIII`s without tems. Under the spring retaining collar marked * there are three swaged flats measuring 1.878 dia.

The Toyota one isn't line up at the bottom which makes it look longer at the top, I had the KYB shocks on my Supra for a while without any problems before changing to Koni, Looks like I missed a dimension off.
