Default 1990 supra turbo

Hello, i just got a 1990 toyota supra turbo targa top. the motor is just sitting in car not bolted or wired up. I am familiar with supras but new to the world of turbos. could anyone give me some insite on where intercooler piping needs to run, where oil and coolent lines run for turbo, what is the purpose of a waste gate and where is it at, and why does the exhaust have to welded pipes coming off of the turbo? keep in mind non of this stuff is on the car currently. i have to peice it all back together.

Toyota service and repair manual. #1 bookmark for supra owners.

toyota supras have FFIC (front mount intercoolers) same side piping.
one runs into the 3000 pipe the other to the turbo.

the trubo exhaust is Bolted onto the elbow. it goes, Turbo / Turbo Elbow / Downpipe / cat / resonator / muffler

hope this gets you started.
goodluck. keep us posted.

Default turbo problem

So from the links you sent me it looks like factory intercooler had input and output on same side of intercooler. mine is a large aftermarket one and has inputon passenger side, and output on driver side. is there any perticular route people normaly run the intercooler output hose to get it back over to the 3000 pipe? and this car has sat for awhile with no oil lines attached to turbo, and i think there could be alittle rust/trash in oil input and output on turbo how would you recoment cleaning all that out?

Default intercooler piping

Really my biggest problem is the intercooler piping. here is a picture of my supra, i need to get the piping from the cirle to the arrow and i have no clue how i can do that unless i just put a 180 degree bend on pipe coming out of driver side of intercooler and just run it right back under intercooler and follow factory piping path, but i dont even have the factory piping to follow lol
