dosent like to get into reverse ?
So my 91na dosent like engaging into reverse (5sp)? it seems to get stuck at the gate but sometime it has no problems. most of the time i have play around with the shifter moving side to side before it decides to engage. Is it due the pivot bushing being worn out on the shifter or the tranny being screwed? Anyway im planning to change the bushing to see if it the problem and shorten the shifter the same time. Any advice?

Shortening the shifter results in decreased leverage making shifts require even more pressure. This is even the case with a proper short throw shifter which moves the fulcrum, if the overall length is less.... wait until you get your shifting issue fixed before you make it worse.
Yes, the bushing is one of a few possibilities... it's the easiest to address and the least expensive, so I'd start with that and see how things go after.
