todays "name that noise"
I've noticed a noise coming from my rear end and havn't had the time to attack it yet but open to any ideas.
Sounds like a single clunk everytime the wheel makes a full rotation but goes away under load. sound stops when accelerating. It happens only when coasting to a stop, low speed turns, slow reverse. my diff is fine and full of a bluish performance gear oil and boots are good. someone said it might be a bad caliper or wheel bearing but maybe not becuase it goes away under load... maybe a dry driveshaft?

Could be a bad strut or shock. Look under to see if one is leaking.

I got something similar to this... not exact... but it seems to be most evident when I'm turning or actually accelerating... However, mine is a rattle caused by the latch on the side of the hatch not seating right with the latch on the inner lining of the trunk. I just haven't been able to find a new latch for the inner lining of my trunk short of getting it from toyota for $80.
