Half moon key size
Does anyone know what the half moon key size is, the one that sits in the front of the crankshaft where the crankpulley goes. I lost it and need one asap.
Thanks |

It's a woodruff key. No idea, never had to replace one on a 7M.... did you lose it while working on the car or what's up?

Yeah, took the engine out for a rebuild. And now I can't find it anywhere.
Thanks anyway. |

Can't tell you for sure on the size, but I bought a new one from Toyota a couple of months ago. They aren't very expensive, something like a couple of bucks (well, guess that is expensive for what you get)

It's not really worth saving even $5 by not buying one from a dealer if there's any chance the size is going to be off at all. Any excess space in the keyway and you'll be buying a new crank or getting your rebuilt.
