Default Starter issues! Please help

My supra doesn't deliever power to the starter, only sometimes. People told me it could be the alarm i installed, but i started the car before while the alarm was on. This is my 3rd starter which is an original toyota starter. What electrical problem im i dealing with, can it be the starter switch, fuses, or wiring? All the fuses are intact.

If your fuses are good, the next step is to check any switches between the key and the starter. So the ignition switch, clutch switch(manual), and the start solenoid. Otherwise if all those are good, you've either got a bad starter or the alarm is in fact, getting in the way.

Possible 2jz lower block swap in the works if I can't rebuild the 1j. So troublesome.

He's also got a flashing OD light... I'm thinking he's got a bad NSW (Neutral Start Switch).

Bryan, keeping your problems in the same thread will help people figure out if there's a common cause. A bad NSW will cause error codes, prevent the car from starting AND mess up your idle.... as well as other neato stuff.

I dont have the check engine light o the od light on. If i kick start the car, it idles and purrs like a kitten. Im goin to test the wiring and switches on the car. My last resort will be a direct connect.

Sorry, my bad.... another person was talking about the OD and I thought it was you... Obviously not as Manual transmissions don't have an OD light.

The alarm is a common cause followed by a bad clutch start switch (on the floorboard/firewall where the clutch pedal arm presses it when it swings down. I would start with those and testing to see if any voltage is reaching the small solenoid wire at the starter.
