Killing my power antenna
I only really use my ipod fm transmitter so I'm thinking it would still work fine if I just went in and cut the power for the antenna. I just don't like hearing it all the time, not to mention it's kinda ugly. So does anyone have any thought on potential problems or has anyone else done this?

I did the same thing for a while, just because it was so annoying and I only listened to cd's. And it worked just fine, and would even still get most stations. And now I don't have a radio or anything and no longer have an antenna.

Meh, just put a switch on the signal line from the radio to the antenna.... that way if you just feel like it you can switch the antenna on and listen to the radio.

on the subject of antennas. my mother hung a June beetle bag from the antenna of the supra before it was in my possession. along came a summer storm and the 10 lb bag of dead june beetles snapped that antenna like a twig. I essentially just pulled the remainder out and plugged the hole. first by shoving something rubber and small down inside the hole then prying the remaining metal down. and then topped the hole thing with piece of plastic gasket. can't even tell its not suppose to be there.. I use my sirus radio all the time so apart from the 3 second antenna sound when i turn my radio on I have no problems. Ill probably install a new one eventually. I like things stock
