couple of intake manifold/cooling questions
 

First off, there is a little barb fitting on the intake manifold, where it meets the head. Where did that originally go to? Also there is another metal coolant line running from the bigger metal line that runs behind the engine. What did the hose go to that would have gone on that metal line? And, did the Iacv and the throttle body have coolant running through them?

yes it is a loop, at least on on the 7mge it goes from intake maifold>isc>throttle body> metal pipe around the engine

great, thats what i thought. but why does the iacv need coolant running through it?

Same reason as the throttle body to prevent condensation and frost.
