Turbo 7MGE
Now I know yall gonna say get a 7mgte block, but these are hard to find out here. Getting a bare block will cost me as much as you would pay for a entire engine.
Thing is I wanna go bigger, engine is still N/A, hate the intake going over the valve covers and can't use a FFIM on a N/A. A 10psi boost won't hurt the engine but will 20psi do since the engine lacks oil squirters? I was thinking of getting a water injection kit to reduce the intake temp but will it eventually help to prevent damage? Just want to get an answer one this one. I was looking for to get forged internals but would really hate to see those getting ruined on 20psi boost because of the lack of oil squirters. Up until just a few weeks ago I would have backed that statement... Now I'm rebuilding the bottom end and replacing the HG. N/A-T is not the way to go.... every year I spend working on this platform the greater the number of reasons I have for saying so and the wiser I realize all those who came before me and advised me not to bother trying are in my eyes. High compression and boost on cast internals and a 20+ yo motor are a very bad idea... even if you've got the engine management and fuel down pat.
Forged internals and a much lower CR are the way to go.
