Turbo ct26 problem
I have a problem with the impeler wheel on the sides three has missing pieces on the edge and I found oil in pipe in betwen intercoler all the way to turbo inlet-please help????:crazy2:

I'd be more worried about where the chunks of metal ended up, myself. There's no question about how to proceed here... turbo must be rebuilt or replaced; intake piping, manifold and throttle body all need to be THOROUGHLY cleaned out; the intercooler needs to be professionally flushed; you need to do a compressions test to make sure none of the debris entered the engine and chewed up the cylinder walls... a leak-down test would be even better.

Thanks for your knowledge...by the way that happens recently when one day when I driven her the turbo pressure drops a little bit then normal-4.5PSI...stock boost is 5.5-7.5PSI,and when I took the air hose down I saw that the impeler wheel is like that.Tell me if I can drive it now or not because its a daily driver?:dunno:

phwoarrr, I wouldn't drive it like that. If your thinking of doing so just imagine for a moment that one of those hard sharp chunks of turbo jams down the side of a piston. That shard of metal then scrapes up & down the cylinder wall over 700 times a minute at tickover, rev the engine it'll be making the journey anywhere up to 5500 times a minute. Now think how many strokes of a file it takes to make a nice mess of a chunk of steel...
Your choice ultimately but I wouldn't wanna risk it... |
