My aftermarket radio doesnt have any security on it, only the option of removing the actual radio. The alarm does have a vibration sensor that activates the alarm when enough force is applied to the car.

battery draining?
Hi! My battery drained -dead-- so I bought a new one only to find that I had accidently left the boot light switched to stay on -check this by operating the boot lid closed switch while the boot is open -if the light stays on thats the problem solved!

if you didnt have your sterio and alarm installed professionally, check your wiring over. if you did, the alarm is most likely the problem for the afor-mentioned problems. alarm systems are tricky, especially if they are straight wired to power and not set as an on demand or with a back up system.
when i had an alarm in my camaro, it had its own proprietary power system (just a small 12v system) that was charged off of the alternator and disconnected from the main power system. go invest in a volt meter, its well worth the price of 20-30 bux for a craftsman one, im glad i have mine.
