Factory Security Question

I have the factory security in my 1990 and was wondering how the light is supposed to flash? Currently it stays solid for about 30sec after locking it then it blinks. Does that sound right?

That's correct. During that time you may open the hood or doors without setting the alarm off and it will prevent the alarm from arming.

thanks, just wanted to see if it was working the was it is supposed to since i have taken out the spider web harness from the old aftermarket security system
