Freeze out plug gone while driving???
so this sat. while pushing the car a little... my block blew a freeze out plug. wtf????? y???? damn??? HAD TO TAKE THE EXHAUST MAINFOLD OUT IN ORDER TO CHANGE. EVERY SINGLE BOLT CAME OUT WITH THREADS AND NOW I GOT TO HELI COIL. DAMN!!!! has anyone every seen this with the freeze out plug before. wondering if my pressure is too high and should i change the rad cap??

Test the radiator cap. Should open at 13psi. Do keep in mind that if you replace it you risk the new one being off as well, they're not made with the precision they deserve, test 'em before you buy it.

replaced plug fit pretty tight. inserted with silicone. was thinking about using jb weld now around the edge? now in the process or heli-coil

be careful when drilling and re tapping. its a very slow and precision based task.

just finished up. had a little problem getting 2 of the heli-coils in. tried for hours, before deciding to just run a tap and installing a 12x1.25 bolt instead of 10x1.25 everything worked out good. i haven't been able to drive to far yet because the intercooler hose on the bottom of the turbo fell off and i don't want to drive like that. probably gonna get it done tomorrow.
