is your oil guage stock?

oil gauge and battery sensor now a problem on my car too
ok now my problem may not be the exact same thing as his but I have a few of his problems and i maybe related. Ok, about 2 weeks ago i changed out the spark plug wires because the old ones was worn out(IE sparks was seen at random spots on the wire). After i put the new wires in everything seemed fine until when the car hit normal operating temp. then the oil gauge slowly went down and the battery level shot up to 17ish. I dont know why it did that because not even a month ago i change the oil. The only thing I know that is wrong electricity is that the battery terminal has some white chalk like material on it that i clean every so often.

whats exactly the problem? how high did your oil guage go? above 40? like way above 40 at Normal op temp?
btw the oil pressure gauge is mechanical so to speak. very good write up on how one works floating around here someplace. if i find it ill faq it. |
well the problem is that the oil level is reading the wrong amount and the battery is doing the same( inaccurate readings). when i start the cold engine the oil jumps up to mid level( 40) then as the engine gets warmer(to norm op temp) the oil reading goes down to 0 and stays there until the engine is cold again.
