Default supra dying!

Hi! i have a 1987 supra turbo. I am trying to figure out what could be wrong with the car. the car idels fine, but will not rev over 2700-2800 RPM's. once it its that rpm, it feels like the car is on the rev limiter.

i am after replacing the CPS, fuel pressure regulaton, spark plugs, fuel filter, and i done a fuel pressure test and it came out fine!

can anyone tell me what to look for?? it seems to me like its a spark issue!

could it be a break in a wire somewhere or a bad coil???

it started acting like this right after i got the car back from getting a transmission and clutch installed! the mechanic told me the car was low on gas so he couldnt take it for a run but that wasnt the case!!!

thanks for your help in advance!!

Start with checking for diagnostic error codes and then checking the mechanical and ignition timing. The details on all three are located in the MKIII FAQ section.

The check engine light should ALWAYS light up when the key is in the "ON" position but the engine not running... it's a diagnostic of it's own.
