non turbo head to turbo motor
 

im in the middle of a 7mgte motor swap the gte head i have now is garbage.. i was wondering if the 7mge head will fit the 7mgte basically if there interchangable... please let me know if u can help thanks

Cylinder heads are the same, but the cams are slightly different. If you leave the N/A cams in the head and put that on your GTE, I believe that provides a little more low end power.

The intake cam is the only difference... different on both angle and duration. Exhaust cams are same for any given year.

When swapping cams don't forget to re-shim the valves.

So if Brian7mgte were to use the head off a 7mge,

He would'nt need to re-shim the valves would he?? (only if he were to use the cams off a 7mge on a 7mgte, correct?)

So just replace the head?
